Pre-Homestay Visit
Service Details:
In order to help guests further confirm that a certain homestay is their final choice, we offer personal visitation of the potential homestay and the surrounding community. The guest and/or his or her guardian will have the chance to visit the homestay and communicate in person with the host family, clearing up any confusion or unanswered questions. The visit will be arranged and accompanied by an Ojisu local coordinator who will be there to ensure the entire process goes smoothly.
Service Process:

After paying the $698 service fee, the guest and host will each fill out a form.

An Ojisu consultant will then arrange the visit at a time that works for both the guest and host family.

In order to ensure that the visit is on time and goes smoothly, the guest and their guardian will meet the local coordinator 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time of the visit . We also ask that guests and hosts each prepare the questions they want to ask and the matters they want to discuss ahead of time as well.

After the visit has concluded, if the guest and host are interesting in engaging in a homestay program with each other, please contact the Ojisu consultant who arranged the visit, not the local coordinator.
Please note:

During the visit, the role of the local coordinator is to lead the discussion and help both the guest and host gain a deep understanding of each other’s situation and expectations.

During the visit, guests are not allowed to negotiate prices. Also, neither guests and hosts are allowed to exchange personal contact informations such as email addresses, phone numbers, or social media profiles, etc.

Before the homestay booking is confirmed, Ojisu will be in charge of communicating details of the homestay to the host family.

The pre-homestay visit service fee is a one-time, non-refundable, non-transferable fee.
